I am going to program a scanner for a friend and he asked me to program the frequency for the control shack for the “swing bridge” (drawbridge?) so he can hear the boat traffic coming through. Not being from the area or knowing anything about it, can someone fill me in. Is this a standard Marine channel or maybe a coast guard frequency? Thanks :)

Unless something has changed, all bridges on the ICW in SC operate on VHF Marine CH 9. Someone in the area can probably confirm that or advise if it has changed. A swing bridge turns (swings out of the way) as opposed to a drawbridge. NC and SC is full of them on the ICW. Hope that helps!
