Does anyone know what happened to the North Sacramento Feed? I have tried listening to it for some time now and I hear no live feed. I have tried to contact the broadcaster but it states that, that person does not want to be contacted. I then contacted RR support and I received an email back telling me to contact the broadcaster!!! Hmm don't know what to do at this point. I have a scanner but I don't know how to program it. So therefore I listen online and now the feed I want to hear is not working :( Can someone give me someone let me know if they know of anything going on?

Thanks

I believe there was some trouble with the audio that the provider could not fix. I'm guessing that's why it was taken down.

You are a new member and not permitted to private message anyone yet. Click on the "Report a Problem" button on the feed page to send the feed provider a message/question. The feed is UP at the moment with 7 listeners.

I'm not sure when one becomes a "seasoned" member. I have been a member for a little over a year now and was a previous premium subscriber but I did not renew because the feed I listen to the most in my area is not properly functioning. I was also a premium subscriber under a different username in the past however I have since deleted that email acct so I created a new username here on RR. I'm not sure if you read my message in it's entirety, but I did not say the feed wasn't UP. I am saying there is no live audio feed to listen to. I see how it tells you that there is "so may" listeners" but there is nothing to listen to!! I DID click on the "Contact Broadcaster" button to contact the individual who is running the feed and was given this when I wanted to send an email, NOT a private message "Sorry! That user has specified that they do not wish to receive emails. If you still wish to send an email to this user, please contact the administrator and they may be able to help. " So therefore I DID contact Admin by clicking on the "Report a Problem " button and I received an email response stating that they do not provide the live feed and that I need to contact the broadcaster. And yes I did scan the feeds prior to posting as well to see if someone else may have already posted something regarding this matter and I did come across the link that you provided me "Why is this feed offline? Where did a feed go? How to get my area added?" So I since I was just going in circles I decided to write this post since I had done all the appropriate steps. I did not know it was a problem to seek help/advice in this matter. I do thank the individual "TrevDog" for letting me know there was some trouble that the Broadcaster could not fix. I just hope the feed can get fixed so I can continue to "hear" feed in my local area.

Yes, I am talking about the "Sacramento City Police - North Command" feed and I did report to that link you provided. That is who I originally contacted and I was told to contact the broadcaster, which I can't because he is not accepting emails.... :( So it is hard to figure out when neither can help.

Since you say you have a scanner and don't know how to program it why don't you ask for help in the forums here? I am sure their are people including me who will try and help you out. That way you do not have to depend on the feed.

A premium membership is not required to listen to the feeds. You don't even need to be a member at all. The feeds are always free. To prevent spam any member must post at least four times before private messaging is permitted. As stated in the link I posted, feed providers are volunteers. They have no obligation to you.

It sounded like you were unable to listen to the feed as it may be down which is usually the reason. Again, just trying to help.

I don't know what "problem" you are referring to. These feeds are provided as a hobby. They are not provided as a paid or unpaid service to anyone. If you want to hear the radio traffic in your area use a scanner. In closing, again I was just trying to help you. I don't know why you are so defensive. Maybe you should seek professional help.

Dude calm down no need to tell someone they need professional help.Totally uncalled for.

Hello neighbor

I see this is only your third post under this user name, that is why you are considered new. You should participate more, rather than just lurk (or listen) to get "status".! :)

I have a scanner but I don't know how to program it.
Well, what scanner do you have (brand/model)? Someone like me might even be able to program it for you. Or you might have an older model that no longer works with the Sacramento systems.

Regardless, this IS THE PLACE to learn how to program and all that!
