Northeast SATCOM

I live in upstate, NY. I see lots of west coast and southern SATCOM logs, but not too many for my area.
Is anyone in the northeast having any luck ? I am building the 'X-wing' antenna next week and other than the search button.....I would like to find a good starting point.

Listen to 255.55 or .555 late afternoons or evenings and you should hear some Brazilian pirates.

Yeah, I get those pirates on several freqs. I'm looking for some active mil.traffic in the clear. I know that's rare, but they are out there.

Try these CONUS freqs for clear comms.

251.850
258.650
260.475
260.625
261.575
261.675
262.125

These seem to be the most active for legit stuff and less pirated. I also highly recommend a dedicated scanner along with computer software such as ProScan to do unattended logging/recording of activity. Good luck and let us know what you catch
