Hi all,

Can anybody clarify the the primary EMS dispatch frequencies for northern valley and/or tri-boro south areas of Bergen County. 155.265 is floating around with a few PL's in the database but I see its also a JEMS frequency. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Northern Valley PL is 71.9, Only Triboro South agency is New Milford Ambulance dispatched by Central Dispatch with PL 203.5

Can someone confirm a suspicion of mine regarding 155.2650's use by Northern Valley's emergency medical services...
Is it repeated, at least as used by Closter Ambulance? And, if so, is 150.7750 the input?

Yes. Should be able to verify the input via the database or fcc.

Yep, found it...under Norwood's entry in the RR Database. Thank you. I'm gathering that surrounding corps, such as Closter, Demarest, Harrington Park, Haworth, and Northvale, must be using their repeater as well.

I have an old Norwood Ambulance plan somewhere, and there was something about different repeaters in the channel plan. Something about a site at the heritage.
That's why I'm inquiring. The RR database is showing 155.2650 as being a BM system, not an RM (at least under Closter). The FCC licensing is under multiple call signs, not the typical arrangement. What brought this to my attention is, while traveling through the area, I'd hear identical transmissions, but of different signal qualities, on both 155.2650 and 150.7750, leading me to believe that one is an input for the other.

Haworth, Northvale, Norwood, Demarest, Harrington Park, and Closter EMS agencies all utilize the repeater - though Haworth has yet to narrowband their mobiles...

If, by dispatch, you are referring to 154.16 pl 71.9, it is referred to as "EMS-Comm" when dispatching EMS agencies and "Fire-Comm when dispatching fire agencies for the above towns... and Alpine & Rockleigh (who do not have EMS agencies and are covered by towns above) but is more appropriately labeled "Northern Valley Dispatch".

The response and operations for the above EMS agencies are done, on the repeater, on 155.265 pl 71.9. The dispatcher operating this desk is referred to as "EMS-Comm" by most. Some of us elders still refer to them as "Communications" and some older elders will throw in "945" every once in a while to make heads spin.

Additionally, please do not confuse Tri-Boro South Fire (New Milford, River Edge and Oradell) and Tri-Boro South EMS - as this doesn't exist. While there are plenty of "Tri-Boro EMS" agencies... Bergen, Morris, Ocean, etc, the towns of New Milford and Oradell are covered - during their non-hospital contracted hours - by New Milford EMS and dispatched by Central. River Edge EMS covers River Edge and dispatched by REPD.

Just clarifying for my own sake...

Dispatches are on 154.1600 with PL 71.9 for both FDs and EMS
"Response" is on 154.2650 with PL 71.9

Good?
