Report of an off-duty Loudoun deputy being hit by a car, not sure if they mean his person or his car. The deputy believes the driver to be drunk. Car last seen west bound on Rt7 from Lakeland. Tag comes back to an Ashburn address.

Brush fire along Rt606 crossed on to the airport property near the National Weather Service location. Ops on 6B for now.
1630-Engine-23 establishing Old Ox command, moving ops to 6C and requesting two additional brush trucks, chainsaws and manpower.
1700- Units would like to get assistance from a news helo overheard to provide a recon of the area.
It's ABC, have comms on 450.1125 and 460.2625. Had some live shots of the fire. Maybe more in 15 minutes. They're providing some footage to CNN too.
1705- Skyfox is there too. 161.73 88.5 PL. Constructions crews are helping. Can see one using a bull dozer which is helping a lot.
1706- FD has a means of being patched to the helo via the tower they said. But it sounds like they'll call directly via telephone since they have a number now.

I heard this as well. sounded pretty serious. I also heard them mention "20 construction workers". heard traffic on VA Forestry Region 3 freq (not sure if it was 151.4750 or 159.3300) and on various National Park Service freqs. on the VA Forestry traffic, I heard them mention Frederick County helping. not sure if it was Frederick Co. MD or VA.

Loudoun County Company 4 units and some from Clarke Co are on the scene of a structure fire at an historic building. Reportedly some historic records have been saved. Ops on 6C.

Earlier today hear PWC talking about a building collapsing and firefighters trapped in the building. Anyone know if this was training or a real incident? All communications were on 5O Talk-Around 2...so I'm guessing it was training.

I heard some traffic on the MI (major incident) Hazmat channel this morning, thought it was a drill, but it sounds like it may be real world. They are looking to get 5 different samples of something from a letter, envelope, chair, floor, and somewhere else.
I think its real because i heard an RHCC (Regional hospital something....) official give out a phone # for all regional hospitals to call for a conference to discuss the event/incident at Tyson's corner, and he specifically stated it "was not a drill..."

I heard the traffic about getting samples probably 5 minutes before the post, so maybe 11:45. I haven't heard much lately on it.
I did see a breaking news bit on abc7 at noon, I guess someone opened a letter and white powder came flying out of it. two people were taken to area hospitals, the entire 8th floor of the USA today building was evacuated.
Haven't confirmed any substance yet. I guess thats why they are taking samples for their labs...

Report of a small plane crash in the area of Hogback Mountain and Mt. Gilead Roads in Loudoun. Fire dept is responding on 6-D.
Plane on approach on 125.8 is approaching the area. Reports the plane is in a field. 100yards from a house, pilot seems to be fine, walked away. Maybe more of an emergency landing.
1755- 85V is the plane that was overhead, he's heading back to Leesburg.
1803- Whoever called 911 hasn't provided any useful info. FD can't find it and I guess the pilot hasn't called and told them. VSP has a helo enroute. There is another aircraft in the area now who may help direct FD.
1808-The pilot is now in contact with 911.

0144 I believe this may be a commercial structure fire at VA Paving on Rammouth Church road in Stafford. All units are still stagging waiting for the Electric lines that are down to be killed. OPS on Stafford 2/5

Nope, I was in bed. I know that area well, having done alot of my inspection work around there. I bet some yahoo was getting it down that road and hit a power pole. I know I'm guilty of getting it down that road!

Vehicle pursuit in Loudoun on the West end channel. Green Saturn, tag does not belong on it.
2230- Wrecked it but still trying to drive away. Hughesville and Foundry Rd. Believed to be drunk, subject won't get out of car.
2232- Subject has been tazed, can hear him wimpering. :lol:
