2 Alarm Fire in Springfield

2 Alarm Fire in Springfield

7721 Saratoga Ridge Ct.

Box 1922

Ops 4C
Cmd 4F

E422 arrived onscene reporting heavy fire from the front door, immediately requesing second alarm response.

Structure is a townhouse that sounds like it's devided into different apartments

0421 - Cmd is reporting 21 people displaced. Sounds like they have at least 1 unit from Prince William on this call too, must have been dispatched after the 2nd alarm

0423 - Cmd reports they had fire in 2 apartments, now knocked, checking now for extension on attic and roof. Also, I think that the address might have been 7723

Follow-up to last Friday's pursuit.
http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/police/reports/Reports2006/111406pursuitrt1.htm

A police pursuit on Friday afternoon ended with the apprehension of a man wanted on outstanding warrants. Officers were responding to a domestic violence call at 3:25 p.m. on November 10 when a lookout was broadcast for the vehicle belonging to the suspect who had just fled the home. An alert officer located the suspect’s vehicle on Richmond Highway near Lukens Lane and attempted to make a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop the car and a pursuit ensued.

Officers pursued the suspect through several neighborhoods and were eventually able to stop his car. However, the suspect fled from his car and officers gave chase on foot near the recreation center on Fordson Road. The foot pursuit ended a short distance away when officers apprehended the suspect.

The driver of the car, James Kelly, 28, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with three counts of attempted malicious wounding, speed to elude and driving on a suspended license. In addition, Kelly was charged with several outstanding warrants for failing to appear in court on an assault charge, simple assault and obscene phone calls. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and remanded to the custody of the Sheriff’s Office.

PWC Swat Training?

I have been hearing some weird stuff on PWC Spec events ch. 1 and 2. It sounds like the are dealing with hostage situations. Are these training exercises?

If anyone knows more I would appreciate it?

Disorderly Playstation 3 buyers in the Tyson's Corner area. Units are at one of the Circuit City stores as well as the Sony store now. I heard mention of getting pepperball guns. :D
Ops on Ch3 TG-17232

0612-The crowd has been dispersed at the Circuit City and now more units are going to the Sony store. Two other sale locations in the mall are calm, for now.
0615-Fairfax-1 is hovering over the area now. The situation at the Sony store is in check, but they want to have pepperball guns on hands for a show of force to keep it that way.

What can Fairfax 1 do about a riot inside a mall?

Bomb threat incident 1 hour and 30 minutes old at this time. Some where around the Tyson's Corner area apparently since Engine 29 is one of the units on the scene. Ops are on 4-C, 4-F and Coordination D1 (21200).

Now reporting a gas tanker wreck on I-95, leaking fuel. So the HAZMAT unit is preparing to redeploy to this incident. Police are finishing their investigation of the device. An x-ray showed nothing inside.

CBS reports the device to be a 12-inch piece of PVC pipe. This is in the vicinity of the Beltway and Rt123.

3-car wreck on Georgetown Pike (Rt193) at Bellvue Rd. Reported as one ejected, one trapped and it's on fire.

Where do callers get this stuff?

1527-Unit on scene reports 2 cars, 4 adult patients and 1 infant, no one ejected, and no fire. Still going to make a mess of traffic though.

Car wreck Rt15 north of Leesburg. Well off the road so it is not expected to affect traffic. Retired police officer on the scene advising two likely fatalities. Ops on 6C.

Update: All the local news stations are covering this. Brother, 16 years old and sister, 13 years old are both dead after the Jeep left the roadway for a reason yet to be determined.

What a sad deal this is uh.....??

My wife & I were watching on the news last night, & when Sheriff Simpson was interviewed, it was quite evident how upset he was. Not too many times you see a LEO on the brink of tears in front of the camera.

Loudoun working a PI accident, Box 18-2, 46020 Algonkian Pkwy. Grand Cherokee on it's roof.

Missed that, must've happened just after what I'm listening to. I've been listening to an incident in Herndon. Herndon PD was following (not chasing) a suspected DUI, speeds up to 90mph. Driver crashed and bailed around Parcher Ave and Mager Dr. K-9 and Fairfax-1 were requested.

2219-Just a minute before Fairfax-1 shows up a Fairfax Co unit caught the subject.
