Three stabbing victims, one is dead at the apartments at 6416 Edsall Rd. Fairfax-1 is preparing to medevac a woman. Ops on 4C and police Ch.2
Another victim was said to be a suspect. Sounds like it could be a domestic.

0831-Now saying only two victims, #3 an infant is not injured.

UPDATE, I was right but not how I would've expected.
From WUSA 9
Early Monday morning, two small children may have witnessed their mother's violent death. Fairfax County Police got the call for a domestic disturbance around 8am in the 6400 block of Edsall Road.
Investigators found a 22-year-old woman dead of stab wounds. Her 56-year-old aunt is the lone suspect. She also sustained stab wounds. Police are investigating whether those are self inflicted.
She is now at Innova Fairfax Hospital. The two children were not hurt. They are now with relatives. The victim's brother was in the home at the time of the stabbing, but because of some kind of disablity, he could not help with the investigation. The names have not been released until all the family members could be notified.

As you probaly guessed, we towed the SUV, from Union Mill @ Springstone.
It was rolled over into the woods & as you can imagine it's a total loss. One of my drivers had heard CIB tailing this vehicle for some time before it turned ugly.

They ended up getting this guy within the hour. It started when fire & rescue from station 9 alerted the sheriff's office that there was a drunk staggering along Gum Spring Road. Apparently, they were not aware that a suspect was at large from the accident because they were only concerned for this guy's safety, not trying to aprehend him. When the deputies and troopers in the area heard of this, they went to the scene and a foot pursuit began. They ended up taking him into custody somewhere adjacent to a church in Arcola.

One of the wonderful NoVA drivers thought a shop at the Potomac Station shopping center in Leesburg needed a drive through. I missed the initial dispatch so I'm not sure which shop, either the Caribou Coffee or the shop next to it on the corner (all the fire trucks blocked my view). The vehicle is 25ft into the shop.

It's the Maggie Moo's ice cream shop.

Working house fire in Sterling on Loudoun 6C. Station 18 and 25 units were at Station 11, which delayed the response.

No event but interesting none the less.

Ongoing discussion about VSP radios by some apparent radio techs on Fairfax TG 21328.

2235-They're done. Sounds like radio system managers. In short, VSP doesn't have a clue what they are doing with the STARS systems or any radios for that matter. :)

First I wanna say Happy New Year to all you guys up the road there. Reading all your reports reminds me why we moved to the small city. C'ville had 3 murders in all of 2006, the county had none.

RE: the STARS comment, I tend to agree with you, since they just had to hurridly build a site on Fork Mtn in Madison Co to cover the west end of Div 1 from Richmond out in Louisa toward Gordonsville. The good part for me is that I can now get Richmond on my '396 here at home. I wonder how many of my tax dollars went for that? My other comment is that the whole system seems to be a frequency hogging scheme with so many channels at so many towers. I would have thought it would have been better to simulcast each Division and share those freqs across a wider area.

Anyway, keep scannin'

Sounds like a possible pedestrian hit on Algonkian Parkway at Countryside Blvd in Sterling. I missed the dispatch, but Medstar is coming to medevac and a chaplain has been requested for the bystanders. Ops on 6-C and Sheriff East

LZ will be at Countryside Elementary.

http://inetdocs.loudoun.gov/sheriff/docs/newsreleases_/011807sterlingw/office2k/office2k.htm
Loudoun County, Virginia- A Sterling woman remains in critical condition this morning after being struck by a car Wednesday night in Eastern Loudoun.

Melanie Ann Yost, 25, was attempting to cross Algonkian Parkway at Countryside Boulevard shortly before 8 PM when she was struck by a 1993 Toyota Celica. The car was driven by Oscar Arteaga Roosell, 19, also of Sterling. Roosell was traveling east on Algonkian Parkway when Yost was struck.

Yost was crossing in the crosswalk but was going against the signal. She was airlifted to INOVA Fairfax Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The incident remains under investigation by members of the Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit.
