Anybody have more details about what's happening in western Loudoun. It must've started as I was leaving work so I missed the initial response.

It sounds like a missing person search. They were calling for ATV and 4WD vehicles to access the area, but just recently canceled the ATV request because they found a better access point. CIS units and the command bus have been requested. Radio comms are bad and cell phones are useless there. Ops are currently on Tac 2 [1744].

I got a page about an hour ago saying "cardiac arrest from a crush injury on Tanner Lane" which later turned in to a DOA.

Is that what you're referring to?

Neither, this is off Rt9 somewhere as best as I can tell.

Just heard that the command bus is heading to some place called Sweet Springs.

I'm pretty sure they're talking about the Sweet Springs Grocery at the top of the mountain on Rt9.

1621-Ok, now I'm lost. One guy says he's going to Tanner Lane and another says he's at Sweet Springs, this was all on Tac2. The only Tanner Lane I know of is where Luck Stone is in Chantilly. Must be separate events.

It's definitely out west though, units 520 and 540 are there, along with Bridges towing. The scene is near the power lines and involves two people. Jefferson Co brought a picture of them.

Don't know anything about that right now - I'll be able to ask later though.

I heard them reference Crest Lane earlier, which is off of Shady Lane right before the WV Line.

I turned the radio on right about 3:10, so I missed the initial dispatch.

GOT IT! They found a car matching the description of the one associated with those two missing teenage girls. Just reported on NBC.

A chaplain has been on the scene for a while for the family, so that's not a good sign.

Command computer setup is being done on TG 2320.

I overheard a conversation between police officers the other day stating that if they came upon the vehicle or the girls to use extreme caution, as they had two handguns with them.

Sounds like they took the Subaru off road onto a trail....hunting trails are openned up this time of year.

Don't be alarmed by any intense sounding comms coming from Loudoun this afternoon. It's a SERT training exercise by LCSO and Leesburg PD. LPD comms on on TG2704, LCSO is on 1872 which is encrypted so there is nothing to hear there. I only know this because I heard a unit report on duty at HQ for SERT training earlier.

Major accident on 495 @ 66

FD Ch 4B
FFX PD Ch 3/5
VSP Ch 7 - 159.000

Truck overturned on 495 Inner loop & 66 - All lanes of the inner loop are shut down - PD are diverting traffic onto 66EB
Truck driver fled scene - Fairfax 1 is on 4I and searching for the driver
Driver last seen on foot - I-66 EB toward Rt 7

0059 - Truck was hauling eggs, it's mostly the egg debris on the road, so I don't think it'll be shut down too long - Towpro, you enoute yet?
0104 - Ok, I happen to work right next to the scene, so I drove by, and was able to snap off one picture (I'll upload it in a sec) - it looks like the truck is actually on the ramp from 66E onto the inner loop.
0109 - Here's the picture - click for the full res version

part of an NBC4 article on it:

Michael Karbonski, a safety patrol officer with Virginia Department of Transportation, said it took cleaning crews 11 hours to sop up the mess before the Beltway and the ramp to I-66 could be reopened.

Crews used about 250 pounds of kitty litter to absorb the eggs, then swept the mess into Dumpsters.

Karbonski said it looked like a large omelet on the road.
