Wires down in the area of Rt15 and Rt7 The roads are blocked off all over the place and traffic is totally messed up. Eastbound Rt7 is backed up to Round Hill apparently. The westbound Rt7 flyover at Rt7/East Market is closed.

Unrelated to this, NBC 4 just reported on and had live video of a small plane the crashed at Leesburg airport. They said it crashed around 3pm. I can't believe I never heard anything. I've been listening since 2:30.

Major incident at Dulles airport involving a plane on taxiway F. Currently talking about recovery ops. The nose of the plane is on the ground. Willow Springs towing will be involved some how. Towpro ?

2153- Sounds like maybe a gear collapse. Discussing use of airbags in the recovery ops- to lift the plane?

United flight 7512 from Houston made a nose gear up landing.




Also on the MWAA system they are discussing an ATV accident that happened on land that is apparently under the control of the MWAA. I was following this earlier on the Loudoun system.
A 19 year old was clotheslined by a metal cable. Aircare came in but they did not immediately fly him out because he was in really bad condition, pulseless even. They were doing CPR and transported him to Loudoun Hospital Center where they performed some tests stabilized him, and then flew him to FFX Hospital.

2220- I think there may have been a fatality too. On Tac-4 there has been discussion of a body and it being intact. Sounds like an investigation is taking place. They are requesting light support but it's currently being used for the plane incident. They're still not even sure whether it is actually airport property. If it happened where they've described it, those parcels are owned by BOSTON PROPERTIES LMTD PARTNERSHIP and TAB I ASSOCIATES LLC ET AL.

United Airlines Pictures @ Dulles Int. Airport

Sorry Freq......we had a long nite @ the airport. As "freqhopping" reported, a United flight went nosedown, front landing gear didn't release. When the Airport calls, we roll out the big guns, we never know what we are really getting into.
After consulting w/ different officials on the scene, we decided to "airbag" it up, the let it back down on our custom made "dolly", (made just recently out of 1" thick plate steel) this baby will hold-up & move the largest aircraft we deal with. The pics are self explanatory. The large wrecker is a 60-ton, rotating boom tow truck....yeah, she's BAD.....LOL

Tower-2 responding from Round Hill. I think they were at the chimney incident.


A little while earlier lightning exploded a chimney on a house in western Loudoun.

As the pics show, this recovery was a lil different. Used straps to set the plane on our tractor/trailer to transport it back to the hanger.

Loudoun fire-rescue units are conducting a hazmat drill at the Dulles General Mail Facility on Prentice Drive. There was an actual dispatch on 6A with a disclaimer of being a drill. Ops are on 6C rather than a training channel.

Tractor trailer vs 2 cars on Rt15 at Spinks Ferry Rd. One car is stuck under the track. Medstar-4 has a short ETA.

2145- A victim has been extracted, CPR being started.

Medstar coming in from Frederick. Very quick response time, they must've been airborne or close to being so.

2150- Medstar-4 on the ground. Better than the 8 min ETA they said.

2155- Sheriff reporting that Rt15 will be closed for at least a few hours. Fatal accident investigation likely, because like adamleff mentioned, the medic said they may be calling it at the scene.

2157- Medstar placed in service, all the while worrying about weather to the south. Not very good at analyzing weather it seems, the weather is moving north to south.

The fatality was the only patient. Called at 2215 after consultation with the hospital.

Vehicle pursuit from Clarke Co into Loudoun on Rt50. The car wrecked in the area of Zulla Rd. Both occupants were ejected. Rescue enroute.

0156- A deputy reports one is fine, the other not so fine.
0203- 20 min ETA for Medstar
0206- It's a stolen vehicle.

The medic described to the helo crew that the mechanism was a 120mph crash resulting in the car going end over end.
The Sheriff units that worked the Rt15 wreck had to work this one as well and the motor units will not be available for school crossings in the morning.

House fire, two story duplex at 5816 Edgehill Dr, fire showing in the basement.

Fire is primarily trash piled around the house, some extension.

Initial reports of fire in the basement, E431 arrived onscene and reported heavy smoke from all levels of the 2 story SFD.

Now they have heavy fire showing from all levels and the roof, and reports of floors collapsing.

Announcement just made on 4C - "Floor joists are burned through in D quad on 1st floor"

20 mins into incident.

2325 - Homeowners and occupants are accounted for, nobody is hurt.
