Northglenn Ambulance

Does anybody know any details about Northglenn Ambulance Dispatch.

Last night I heard tones and emergency traffic for them on 461.9375, but this morning on that channel all I hear is chatter about parking garages and stuff. Both last night and this night I hear traffic for them on 462.1625, but none of it is emergency and I don't hear dispatchs, but I do hear them go in route. It this an LTR system?

They are not LTR. The two frequencies you mention are two I have for Northglenn ambulance and the times I've listened, they seemed to be accurate. I don't normally monitor them however so they may be switching freq's or something. I also have two others if you're interested

Thanks for the reply. I wondered because I've heard traffic on both of the channels I listed, and on the one I heard emergency traffic, including actual tones to a call, and then I heard traffic today that clearly wasn't even Northglenn Ambulance.

Big changes for Northglenn anyways in the next few months when TFD puts there new ambulances on the street and begins transporting.

453.700 and 460.550 and 460.600 are still used as well, along with the DTRS.

Ambulances 62, 63, 69 (and possibly 60) are the designators assigned by ADCOM to Northglenn Ambulance units in the Northglenn area of the North Metro Fire District.

Dispatch is on North Metro Fire Primary channel. Operations are on OPS-A.

Northglenn Ambulance maintains 400 MGHz frequencies for it's internal dispatch, paging and communication operations.

Northglenn Ambulance operates out of a central base on Washington at approximately the 106 hundred block.

There are no North Metro Fire ambulances in the Nothglenn are of the North Metro Fire district.

So are there any scanners that will receive 400 Mega-Giga Hertz comms, or is that in the next generation scanner?

Well, I'm going to take advantage of a subject I know about!! Even if it is old! hehe!

As the above says, Ambulances 62, 63, 69, and 60 are NGA ambulances assigned to cover NMFR's Northglenn area. 62 is assigned to district 2, 63 district 3, and 60 and 69 are "extra" ambulances for when 62 or 63 are busy. I believe that these ambulances can respond into Broomfield if needed as well. I also know that while North Metro likes working with NGA, they would like to have their own Ambulances in Northglenn, and I wouldn't be suprised if they made that happen when their contract with NGA is up.

BTW, NGA contracts with South Adams Fire, don't they?
