Hi All,

I'm wondering if any of you NorthWest gang can tell me what happened
to the DeSoto Parish S/O and the East Bossier Parish Fire Dist. # 1 agancies? I've heard they've gone to 700 mcs. But they are both small groups.

I don't have my Bearcat XTD-996T yet, so I'm "deaf", LOL! :D

Any help in advance would be greatly appreciated.

GOD BLESS,
73 - Best Regard,
Don / KA5LQJ

"Thanks" ;-)

Thanks, OHIO,
I wondered what happened to them, LOL! Sheriff Rodney and possee are
making a LOT of drug bust coming up U.S. 171, LOL! I'll have to listen to
the Fire Depts down there, even if it's NOT raining.

You can hear them way up in OHIO? Man, what kind of antenna, tower,
and scannner do YOU have, LOL! j/k.

Again, thanks for the information. I've got a ham contact down in DeSoto,
somewhere, that I can listen for on the 146.67 Skywarn repeater.

"Go Mudhens!"

GOD BLESS,
73,

There has been a lot of new activity on the 700 MHz LWIN system in the 13XXX talkgroup range for Bossier Parish since the wildfires have been active. Still trying to make sense of it all right now.

NW La. E. TX fires...

Hi Rattler, All,

I imagine so. the hi-band VHF and 800 Caddo Parish Comm Dist. 1 frequencies
as well. There was a lot of E. Texas radio traffic on hi-band FM. All I have on this Pro-95 is about a 12" to 18" rubber ducky and they were lound and clear, LOL!

They have a "watch" out for a firebug starting these fires...White truck with
a white stripe (??) If I hear a license plate mentioned, I'll post it. Then, if we spot the iD10t, we can report him to the police/sheriff's department.

For some reason, I'm not able to hear the Fire Districts down in DeSoto. I know the Sheriff and First Responders changed to 700. Did the Fire Dists. do
also?

Pretty soon, we're all gonna need a digitall, P-25 scanner. :-(

GOD BLESS,
73,

Don/KA5LQJ
