I noticed in the CLMRN Northwest CMED listing that they added:
55101-NW Med 201
55102-NW Med 202

Anyone have any info on what these TGs are gonna be used for specifically? The tag at the end says "Hospital". New med patches? Communication directly with hospitals?

The person who submitted them is active on the forum and hopefully can shed more light. I suspect they're patches to CMED 201 and 202 for Hospital entry notifications.

Ok, but I’ve never heard of med 201,202.
All the med patches are currently done on UHF. The fact that they are labeled med channels and are on CLMRN is what I find puzzling.

I know that there had been discussion at some point about using CLMRN for Med patches but getting accurate information from OEMS is often difficult. Good info is useful when planning radio purchases for the next 20 years.

I agree with you 100%. I just "invested" (cough cough) in a Moto APX 8000 XE. Hopefully I will get many years of use before everything in CT starts to go into the CLMRN system.

They are CMED channels. They've existed for a while, but are not heavily used (yet)
Thanks for the update. It’s interesting because in the official OEMS list there’s med 1 up to med 102 in use in CT on UHF.
It’s the first time I’m seeing med channels listed on the CLMRN besides the northwest interop TGs.

I wish they would patch in the coordination channel (MED 9/10/92/102). It would be great to monitor one talk group rather then 4 different MED channels depending on where you are.

All the Cmed channels are going to phase over to CLMRN
I know people at SW & NW cmeds and both said the same.
According to them it will be "as your UHF radio dies or you get new ones you will get CLMRN radios"
Once all the channels are on the CLMRN they will be patched to the UHF channels and services can migrate at their own pace
It looks like SW Cmed would be the fastest as Stamford, Greenwich, Norwalk, and Westport are already on CLMRN, and Weston, Wilton and New Canaan are in the process of discussing moving over some much faster than others
Also, I was told when Fairfield finishes their system Easton might be going on that, and it will be a CLMRN campus system like Bridgeport

We will see Should be some fun tracking down channels

Valley shore has had a med talkgroup for quite a while

Wasn't all that long ago that the state mandated certain UHF radio requirements that forced many to purchase new CMED radios. Should be about time for another round, this time with much more expensive radios. I would imagine there will be some pretty good pushback from the commercial services.

Thank you very much APX. Cleared up all my questions for sure. It will definitely be fun keeping track of all the changes as they happen.
The thing I'm waiting to see is what site will repeat what groups. IE...I live in the valley but I can hear Norwalk EMS and Stamford FD on the Troop I site. hmmm...Again, thanks for the info...

Very good point! Do you think that will delay somewhat the full implementation of the switchover? I'm thinking AMR will be one of the biggest complainers, as they have a very large presence in our state.

The amount of radio traffic would be a mess. The coordination channels are already busy enough.
