Can anyone confirm Norton PD as having a dispatch on 800MHz? The frequency is 867.8875 with a DPL of 114. I have a feeling this is possibly for MDT use, but I've recieved reports that it may be a rebanded dispatch channel.

Anyone in the area to confirm? I'm a little far to pick up anything from there.

Thanks!

Norton moved their voice operations to 471.000 D-624 for dispatch a while back. They also are licensed for 471.200. I don't know if they are still using the 800 Mhz system at all. Generally smaller PDs are using CDMA or GSM for mobile computers, not dedicated channels.

I would post this at Scan Cape Cod as well. You should get a definite answer there. Too far away for me to monitor.

I heard them when the switched down to UHF. I can't hear them because there is a hill right behind the house in that direction and it is a huge attenuator. I have heard them when I was down in that area though, They no longer use the 800 band at all.
