BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Not able to receive multiple sites

Hey everyone, I monitor the CLMRN and other digital systems in Litchfield County, CT. I am only able to receive the Troop B site with my 536HP despite also having the Troop L site as well. I am well within full range of Troop B and Troop L, with full bars of signal for both. For example, I have both Troop B and Troop L's dispatch talkgroups programmed, and ideally I'd like to receive Troop L on the Troop L site.. but I receive them on the Troop B site. No matter what I do, or how I program the scanner (with Sentinel) I cannot receive on other sites. Location control is turned off, and if you need any other information please let me know. My master RR DB is up to date, and I use Sentinel to program the scanner. Favorites list attached

Since you didn't say where in Litchfield County you are I'll assume you're on the lower portion of the coverage radius of Troop B simulcast? You may only be within range of one cell here

The same geographical area encompasses several cells on the Troop L simulcast so you may be facing simulcast distortion with Troop L if you're within range of two or more cells on this simulcast

Duurrrr that would have been good to include, sorry about that, didn't even think to include where I'm at. I'm in the north end of Torrington, near Burr Pond. I should be within full range of both the nearest Troop L site (west of Torrington) and Troop B, which I believe I receive the Winsted site for that.

If your using the stock telescoping antenna, try collapsing it or extending it. And prior to that, turn off Troop B site, leaving just site Troop L site enabled to scan. See if adjusting the antenna does anything.

@Whiskey3JMC , @tvengr , @dave3825 - Took a ride and discovered the problem is intermittent signal issues, some days I get full signal here, other days I get next to none! I successfully did receive the Troop L site, I guess my issues are up to the RF gods lol. On another note, your advice, dave3825 solved some reception issues with other frequencies. I have the Diamond RH789, and collapsing it partially actually is letting me hear analog frequencies I was unable to receive previously. Thank you everyone and Happy New Year!

Don't worry about receiving Troop L on Troop B's site. There is probably a Troop L unit that is affiliating with the B site because he/she is located closer to the B site and getting a better signal. The result is Troop L's traffic is carried on Troop L site and Troop B site. Perfectly normal situation.
