Using Win96 to clone my RS Pro 2096, I copied the MECA frequencies, in Green, (http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?ctid=741) to bank 0 with scanner set to FM. No response. Then I tried setting the scanner to MOT leaving CH 00 open. Still not hearing any traffic. Question, not only does the chart show Frequencies in Green, the chart also has a column of Input frequencies. What are these frequencies and if they are used, how so?

Next I copied 4 CC's in blue, that I believe to be MECA digital, from (http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=5737) to bank 1. I also copied a couple of
Talkgroups to the appropiate area. I set Type to FM, then Mot and I'm still not hearing any traffic.

Next I copied 2 CC's in blue, Boone Co., (http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=933) to bank 3. Set Type to MOT, leaving Ch 00 open. Then I copied the Boone Co. Talkgroup to Win96 and cloned my scanner. Success. All kinds of traffic.

What am I doing wrong with the MECA frequencies or missing in Win96 settings that I'm not hearing any Indy MECA traffic?

Thanks in advance.

If you are talking about the 800mhz frequencies on that main page for marion county those are conventional channels only, you need to go here and enter the frequencies in as a trunked system...

Also your location will play a huge role, the current MECA (Analog) system has poor reception in areas even within the county, it is sometimes difficult to pickup outside the county.

Hope this helps!

No more analog simulcast

MECA has ceased simulcasting on the old talk groups. You will need an APCO-25 compatible scanner (396 or 996 etc) to hear MECA now.

Set the bank(s) to MOT to the top right of freq column.
and the channels that are trunked are set to MOT as well
