not quite right repeater setup

Hello everyone. Need a bit of help with my CCR, (baofeng bf-f9 v2+) Im in morrisville pa, trying too get this radio working on local repeaters.

i have freq set. offset, ctcs all set. best i can tell. the radio dislpay goes blue receive light goes green showing im receiving(want too monitor a bit before jumping in, im srtill new at this) so im receiving but i dont hear anything??

i can hear noaa stuff i can hear fm broadcast so speaker/radio is working. but no sound in repeater?

I'm obviously in the UK, but the repeater data you linked to is a digital repeater isn't it? There is no CTCSS info, so are you certain you're trying to access the right one? Do you hear FM activity coming from the repeater with voices?

" DMR, DStar, Fusion mode repeater " THERE IS your problem. Your "CCR, (baofeng bf-f9 v2+)" ain't going to work. All you will hear is the analog noise that DMR, DStar, Fusion uses.

But, NONE of this was on your ham radio test..... So this IS part of your leaning now that you have passed the "HAM Test".

Indeed... you selected a digital repeater with which your analog-only Baofeng radio is not capable of working. HOWEVER there are many other ANALOG repeaters that should be in range for you, including a couple of others in Morrisville. Use the Search features in Repeaterbook.com to ensure you are selecting only "FM" in the "Feature" pulldown menu... and not "DMR" "D-Star" "Fusion" "C4FM" or "P25"..... the latter of which are all digital modes that your Baofeng will not operate with.
