I was wondering why I can't pick up any of the DC channels. I loaded all the freqs. from this site with arc996pro into my scanner. I have had no problem with any other county in the Metro Area. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

DC Fire is your **standard** 800 MHz digital system (do not choose APCO25). If that is not the case, I have the feeling that when you say you loaded "all" the channels from this board, that may be exactly what you did. If so, please remove the 460's frequencies, as they are a seperate system for DC Police. Naturally, if you did load all the freqs, and put the 460's first, what is probably happening is that your scanner is locking onto the 460 control channel, and not giving you anything since you are looking for DC Fire talkgroups (also, the 460's require two custom tables).

However, if I have been wrong thus far, please post a little more on what you have loaded. This is a great board, and I have no doubt that we'll work with you until the problem is resolved.

This is from the RR DB:
"Police primarily operate on 460 MHz while fire/EMS and other agencies operate on 850 MHz.

******
In order to monitor all activity, you will need to program both the 460 MHz and 850 MHz simulcasts as separate trunked systems in trunktracking scanners.
******
Police talkgroups may show up on 850 MHz and other agencies may show up on 460 MHz, however, police should always be on 460 MHz and other agencies always on 850 MHz. The "Custom Frequency Table" information (above) applies only to the 460 MHz simulcast."

There were no replies when I started my response, by the time I got around to sending it, your reply was already there. Such overlapping of replies is very common in these Forums.

By the **Standard** system do you mean use the conventional or Motorola type 1 in the type of system block.

http://radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&sid=234 shows it as System Type: Motorola Type II SmartZone so you program the 800Mhz frequencies as Motorola 800Mhz Type II Standard.

Then you program the 400Mhz frequencies into a second system as Motorola UHF and you need to use the Base, Step, and Offset for this system:

1 2
Base: 453.4500 460.0250
Spacing: 12.5 12.5
Offset: 380 480
