BCD325P2/BCD996P2: Not Sure About Optimizing P25

I let my BCD325P2 perform auto optimization of P25. First I set P25 threshold to AUTO then started P25 optimization with VOL+FUNC+VOL. I observed THRESHOLD consistently fall on 6 or 7. I let it run for 10 minutes. Then I pressed VOLUME to exit out then set P25 THRESHOLD at 7. Then another P25 optimization run with the threshold at 7. Error rate seemed to be below 20. Then tried it again with 6. Not much of a difference. P25 digital audio sounded better.

My question is did I do it right even though I said it sounded better?

Here in Illinois on the IL P25 Starcom Digital System I also get best results on "7"

The system here is the Oklahoma Wireless Interoperability Network. It has a wide swath of frequency. I was thinking auto optimization might have a struggle with the jump from 853.9875MHz to 856.7375MHz. That is why I am unsure about it. Seems to only effect voice.

If the digital error is the same on 6 & 7 and it sounds better with 6, I would go with 6.
