Rockwell Commander seems to be directing the show from orbit

Plus 3 NC state owned aircraft heading to the general area from the east and have seen 2 NCFS UH-1's popping on ADSBx in the general area, seems to be a lot going on at the moment

and now another Civ UH-60 inbound from the west

And a civ H47, from Montana, just took off from KAVL heading NE too

I haven't seen that level of Govt aviation assets in the air since just after Helene.


Anyone know whats up other than the BEE ROCK CREEK FIRE?

These activities are happening in two distinct locations and only one of them has a TFR in effect.

May be a third operation, due north of Ashville, two aircraft, one state owned

both are orbiting a different area than the first two

There's 3 large fires in WNC, per inciWeb and FD Facebook pages:

Bee Rock Creek Fire-1,047 acres, 27% contained (McDowell County)
Hoae Lead Fire-1,895 acres, 0% contained (Graham County)
Sam Davis Rd Fire-35+ acres, 0% contained (Swain County)

Plus, the Rattlesnake Branch fire is still active in Haywood County, although contained as well as it can be given the steep terrain.

In regards to post #2 and #3. The fire NE of Lenoir was in the Kings Creek area. It was approximately 70 acres and was last reported as 95% contained.
