Nothing to scan

I have formatted my micro sd card and have downloaded the uniden software for the 536; what am I doing wrong ... when I put the sd card into the scanner it reads .... NOTHING TO SCAN. Please help ... I guess I am not downloading thee data correctly.

Have you checked the service types that you want to scan?

I have omitted the favorites list as it tells me to do and how hit on the USA and Canada listings and I see all the states and places in Canada ... I guess I am not downloading them and that is why when I put the sd card in the scanner it tells me that there is nothing to scan; I don't know. I guess I do not know how to download the data on the sd card.

You must go into Service Types and check whatever you want to monitor, IE: EMS Dispatch, EMS Tac & EMS Multi. etc for whatever you want, then download to SD card.

To scan trunked radio systems, you will also need to enter your zip code - else you'll receive the Nothing to Scan message. This is the most common reason I've come across with a variety of 436/536 users.
