In my area, I routinely hear medevac conversations on the VIPER LZ talkgroups (LZCENTDIG, LZEASTDIG, and LZWESTDIG) as well as on the VITALINK GRD talkgroup.

I can't say if these are specifically Novant....

Novant

Novant doesn’t appear to be using frequencies CMC Med Center Air uses.

I think CMC dispatches on the following:

155.325 Mhz.

51200 on Viper

And they do have talkgroups on the Char/Meck UASI P-25 system as well.

To my knowledge Novant doesn't have a flight service

The only ones I know of are:

CMC Bases in Concord, Hickory & Rock Hill
East Care Based out of Greenville
Mama Based out of Asheville
Duke Based out of Durham
NC Memorial Based out of Chapel Hill
Air Care Based out of Winston Salem
Dare Ems Based out of Manteo
Air Link Based out of Wilmington
Wings Based out of Johnson City Tn.
Cherry Point Based out of Havelock
Wake Med Based out of Raleigh

Hope this helps

EastCare has 4 now. New Bern, Rocky Mount, Washington, and Mount Olive. There is actually not a helicopter based in Greenville, but dispatch is in Greenville.

Duke is actually based at JoCo airport. I want to recall UNC is based out of Siler City actually for their choppers. Not sure where Wake Med is. Most of the choppers actually do not base at their hospital, they base where they will most likely be used to save trip time.

Looking, UNC has 3 bases.

For LZ they all use VIPER freqs for LZ as published. For base/hospital to heli comms Ive no idea what is used.

Updating my last post, as this is my "goto"thread for heli-ops in NC.

UNC has 4 bases now:
Chatham Hospital in Siler City,
Aberdeen Fire Department in Aberdeen,
Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro (Tarheel 3)
and UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill

I dont think the choppers actually "live" at the posted locations, but at the airfields nearest.
