It was discussed in a thread here not long ago about hearing Minor Heights, Maytown, Mulga, Shady Grove and Sylvan Springs Fire Departments on the Jefferson County Volunteer Fire Frequency of 154.430. This was pondered by me with some question and difficulty up until now. But I have now learned that they all are being dispatched on the same frequency as a Mutual Aid kind of agreement. This is very good news for the residents served due to having decreased run times and should also result in a much lower fire insurance rating. Kudos to the Chiefs of the Fire Departments from the Highway 269 Area for this outstanding show of cooperation between their services.

Shady Grove

I am one of the dispatcher that you hear on that frequency and from what i understand Shady Grove is supposed to be getting on the same frequency as the other 4 before to long, Dont have an exact date yet.
