Palm Beach County 813A survived hurricane Jeanne without a single problem. We trunked all the way thru not missing a lick and didn't even loose any antennas or cables attached to the trunking system.

I can't say the same for Riveria who lost a 150' tower that fell on their FD causing them to transfer all their communications to 813A or for Greenacres that lost their 800 conventional system as well and had to look to the County for support.

We beat out Murphy on this one! 8)

Ouch!!!

Hey, do you know what happened at the base of the tower?? Any pictures?

Did the foundation pull out of the ground or did the tower structure break or buckel at the base?

It looks like a pretty sturdy tower, but I guess the force of the winds was too much for this tower!

Was it a bolt failure on the base? I have caught several "tower contractors" doing work locally with dimestore bolts!

I have one foundation picture that I'll post later. It shows bare rebar but I couldn't get close enough to get a shot down into the hole.
