Just heard some APCO-25 digital on the National Park Service freq:
168.30000 KFB782 National Capital Parks - West (C&O Canal)
sounded like it was related to C&O maint. around the Chain Bridge. I wonder how soon it will be before they all make the switch-over & will Park Police also follow?

I can't speak for NPS in the DC area, but the NPS in the Colonial Triangle area (Jamestown, Williamsburg and Yorktown) have gone digital and I've even heard a bit of encryption.

Other NPS areas in VA have also reported migration to P-25. What it looks like in all these cases is the NPS is converting using the existing frequencies and switching radios out a bit at a time.

There is actually an NTIA mandate for P25 so every federal/DoD agency will eventually, be moving to P25.
