Hello yes I saw Bodie island but someone side they use the sherrfic department channel or beach law can't think of which one when there checking when the p25 system wasn't encrypted I hear them check in at bridge. And writing tickets and stuff I brought my scanner but unforutully if that's true then u can't listen to it because sherrfic beach law channel is encrypted which is so.stupud but tacts are open but I fish down there all time I'm going back and going bring my scanner I was seeing if anybody could help

Last I heard is they were on the Dare SO Dispatch before they went encrypted. Now they’re encrypted of course
Right that's what I heard they got hatters and Bodie island frequency that's p25. But I think the primary dispatch was on sherrfic channel. But if anybody. I heard them check in over rodath and check in before they were checking people for lincess but if u can find out or get infomtion let me know

Can confirm as a lifelong resident, CHNPS all use DCSO as well as their own TAC channels and all are encrypted. You aren't able to hear them unless you have a county radio. They do not use VIPER or any other systems that I'm aware of, and I have scanned those channels for decades.

Yea listening to LE in OBX is a thing of the past. They’ve been encrypted I think since 2015/2016.

I believe the FWS LEO's also utilize Dare Sheriff too. At least in the past, I remember seeing their RID's on Unitrunker.

FWS and NPS both use Dare SO TG and are encrypted. For around 10 years at least. They do have their own repeaters as well and they are listed on the site here, but I have never heard those used myself, but I also don't monitor them.
