I'm not sure what you are asking, but the NS detectors TX on the road channel in use in that area and announce the mile post location.

I'm not sure that you will find an NS defect detector on WNYP tracks. I'm not from that area of NY, so I can't really comment too much about it, but you usually won't find a company's defect detector on another company's tracks. Unless you're talking about Conrail. There are still numerous detectors on CSX and NS trackage that announce as "Conrail defect detector..." but that's because the tracks are now owned by CSX and NS after the Conrail buyout.
