LV 4 (05-127) is having routine activity this evening on it and should be picking up even more on New Years Eve. Usually it's just a special event talkgroup but also has been used for training during the DPS academy in Southern Nevada.
The Nevada Military Dept. (National Guard) was active a few hours ago using talkgroup ID 05-071. This is the "Nevada Rural Aid" channel. Expect to hear more on this one and the others related to the Military Dept. as New Year approaches.
Talkgroup 08-131 (NV Power Co Distribution Channel) has been active thru the Oatman Mtn. site in NW AZ. This covers the Laughlin area nicely and from time to time some LV NHP talkgroups are simulcasted thru it. For those who like to travel to the Laughlin area I highly recommend monitoring this site.
