Numerous Mailbox Fires in Northern Macomb Cty

Seems like there has been a call about every 10-15 minutes for another mailbox fire in northern Macomb County. This has been going on for the last hour or so. (460.4 and/or 460.25 are the frequencies)

All seem to be near 31 Mile & Omo area.

One resident actually chased a suspect vehicle but lost them before they could get a plate number.

Isn’t destroying mail a federal crime? If one of those mailboxes is not empty then the bad guy could be in for some real trouble if caught.

Yes it is! They could be looking at five years or more in a federal prison.

It's definately federal....but an officer will be lucky to get an MDOP out of it :(
