Moffat Co. Pursuit SB Hwy 13 into Craig. Now EB Hwy 40 E of Craig. MP 99. Speeds 125. Notifying Hayden and Steamboat Spgs. CSP 4B1 lead car. DTR /004/

Pursuit U/D. Vehicle hit the stop sticks E of Milner. Appx MP 122. Pursuit continues EB with 4B1, 4B10 & 2 Routt Co SO cars. Now at MP 125. Speeds 120. Add O/F 155.37. /004/

Pursuit U/D. Vehicle hit stop sticks just W of Steamboat Spgs at RCR 42. Chase continues in Steamboat Spgs. Vehicle stopping at mobile home park (Sleepy Bear?) with flat tires. 4B1 has SB spread eagled. /004/

Pursuit U/D. SB in custody on Hwy 40 in Steamboat Springs by the KOA Campground. Pursuit was started by Wyoming Highway Patrol. WHP enrt to the scene. /004/

CRAIG (AP) - A Frisco man faces charges of vehicular eluding following a high-speed pursuit that reached speeds topping 100 mph.

Wyoming Highway Patrol officials say a trooper tried to stop 47-year-old Jay Patterson early Sunday after seeing his Audi heading south at 127 mph.

But authorities say Patterson didn't stop, and barreled into Colorado on Highway 13, passing other vehicles while going at least 95 mph.

Patterson allegedly sped through Craig, went east on Highway 40, and kept speeding into Routt County.

Steamboat Springs police finally stopped Patterson on a county road about an hour after the pursuit first began.

Six agencies were involved in the chase.

Investigators aren't sure why Patterson refused
