I see some site/control freq. discrepancies between this website and the NW Frequency Dir. I'm not sure which source is correct. Obviously trying each frequency is the answer but it's a pain with the RS Pro-107 I was given as a gift (pulling the SD card in and out - making sure it's written to).

I am sorry about that, this sites stuff is made up of members submitted info if they submit it, it will be added here so that everyone can enjoy the same info.

Oh, no need to apologize...heh. I wasn't clear. I was just wondering which source I should fall back to if I see discrepancies between the NW book and website? Even though the book is volunteer based as well, I'm assuming it was vetted before publish.

It could just be a matter of pluggin' and playin diff frequencies I find in both. It just that the SD card issue can be annoying with this Pro-107. ;-)

Just to clarify: as you state, both are volunteer based.

Where you find differences, the database is probably the most up to date, but that is not a guarantee.

The publisher of NWFD is a regular on the board (although, I haven't seen him post lately), maybe he will chime in.

Would this be the correct forum for tracking down the department or label for a trunked system talk group? 36947, 37331 each show up as non-labeled for the King County/Seattle Public Safety system. Any detail would be appreciated. Thanks!

Good morning,

I have two talkgroups I can't find labels for. They are 36947 & 37331. The chatter seems like they're police agencies on the E side of the Seattle Metro area based on the street names, etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

D

Thanks! How does one find these talk group labels if not on this site nor in the NW book? Might you know what walk group Seattle SW Precinct use? West or South?

Thanks,
Dave

Frequency update via software

I update my scanner (RS Pro-107) via software it came with. The software database IS the radioreference.com db. It has an update dated this past Saturday 4/3/2010 yet, I don't see a listing on the website to such an update for the state of WA. Is the db for sw library updates ahead of the website usually?

Thanks,
Dave

Let me clear up a couple things or maybe just one, with out getting technical.
TGID 36947 is a patched ID. 36944 is the actual Auburn Dispatch TGID but
Auburn Police is almost always patched to Algona Police and to Pacific Police.
So if you find a TGID that ends in an odd number, subtract 3 and you have the
TGID that you can locate in the database.
Auburn units are "Adam", Algona is "Lincoln" and Pacific is "Paul".
Tukwila usually is patched to Des Moines.
