NWS Live Radar with weather warnings

NWS doesn't have "live" radar, the base reflectivity image only updates every 5-6 minutes. The "live" part there is the warning map, as the radar doesn't change.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the radar does change. And even though NWS radar updates every 5-6 minutes that is live, its the same thing they are seeing at the NWS offices.

Bubble still together... NWS radar updates every 5-6 minutes, so you are seeing different sites updating but the overall picture is still not as current as live.

"Live" radar is only available on TV, where updates are available within a minute.

Thanks for sharing the NWS link. This is the same weather service the company I work for uses. You can pay up to $100 a month for similar services elsewhere or you can get all the info you need for free from the NWS. Even if it is a couple of minutes old.

The NWS links are good for basic viewing (is it raining hard, light, or not) but if you want all the radar data you have to spend some money. Best bet is Gibson Ridge radar software, http://www.grlevelx.com
