NX700 Audio Only from External Speaker

As above, have an NX700 that will only output audio to the external 3.5 speaker jack. When the external speaker is unplugged there is no audio from the front facing speaker.

I don't remember there being an option in the programming to disable the internal speaker, but I'm honestly not sure where to look to figure out why it doesn't work and how it was setup this way if it was intentional.

Anyone have any idea where to start?

Audio amp IC715 feeds the output direct to CN705, that's where the PA/Horn alert board would plug in.
There should be a jumper there across pins 2 and 3.
If you are getting speaker output from the external speaker jack, then it's good and the jumper is there.

there is an internal switch in J701, the external speaker jack. If the external speaker works, then you are good up to there.
It's possible the internal switch is crudded up with something. Sometimes cycling the speaker jack in and out a few times might clear it. A careful spray of contact cleaner wouldn't hurt.

From there, it feeds the control head. via CN597, through the flex cable, to t C901 on the head. The speaker plugs into C902.
Make sure the internal speaker is plugged in, the flex cable is good/seated, and if using a remote head kit, make sure it's all connected correctly.

If your radio has the KAP2 horn/PA board, there's a jumper on there for internal/external speaker. Make sure the jumper is in the correct position.
