When in Search mode, I and using ProScan to log the hits, I am getting hits on 461.725 which has a Digital Type as NX9. But the audio is just digital hash.
I have the (at least I thought I had) the NXDN option installed on this radio. I also do have the DMR option installed, and it works as expected.
Any thoughts?
Thank you,
Mike

Are you listening to this school district?
If so, it shows 461.7125. While your radio may be picking up something on 461.725, being that far off frequency is going to result in poor decode, which may come across as digital hash.

Or, they may be running encryption.

Your scanner has the NXDN upgrade. If it didn't then it wouldn't recognize this as "NX9". Program the frequency conventionally (setting audio option as "digital" or as a NXDN one frequency system (enable ID Search or program in TGID if known) and set the applicable RAN code. If the talkgroup is encrypted then you should see it briefly flash up on the screen along with "ENCRY"

Not sure who it is. I was wondering how the SDS100 handled the encryption if it was. Would it allow the hash through?

Thank you for the info. I will set it up like you suggested. We have very little NXDN around here. This was my first reception of NXDN signal that even brought up the NXDN questions.

There is no RAN code showing up. Is that part of the issue?
