NXDN Ran

I was manually programming a single NXDN freq and the BCD436 wants me to select a NXDN Ran. What does that stand for?

Same as the PL code on analog, NAC on P25 or Color Code on DMR

What does that stand for?

RAN is the abbreviation for Radio Access Number. As N1GAW pointed out above, it's similar to how CTCSS/PL/DCS/DPL works.
If you do not know the RAN for the system you are listening to, select 0 or 'off', that's the equivalent of putting your radio on carrier squelch, it'll pass any audio it decodes.
