Is NY State Police on State wide trunck system?

I am looking to program the State Police that handles the NY Thruway from the GW Bridge to the Cross Bronx Express way to the Conn line on Rt- 95

Thanks

453.425 (123.0 PL) Channel A Repeater / F-3
453.525 (123.0 PL) Channel B Repeater / F-4

I believe the troop barracks are in Tarrytown, just at the eastern end of the TZ Bridge.

Actually that's the wrong PL for that area. The correct PL is 97.4 for Zones 1 and 3 (NY Division and Syracuse Division).
123.0 is for the Albany and Buffalo divisions.

The rest of the State Police (other than Troop T - which patrols the Thruway) are on VHF and/or county radio systems throughout the State.

I may not have the best info for you but I'd imagine the GW bridge itself is probably handled by Port Authority PD, I've never really seen NYSP on there ever. I-87 south of McClean Ave or the Yonkers raceway entering Bronx county is patrolled by NYPD highway with accidents being handled either by highway themselves or the precinct of concern when highway is not available. Same would apply north of the GW bridge to the Westchester county line on I-95 aka cross Bronx expressway. Just some food for thought

PAPD cover the GWB. And didn't SP Newburgh (Stewart) close shop and move to SP Montgomery?

The NYS Thruway operates on UHF, not VHF and I monitor them all the time.

Thought I'd correct you since you decided to correct Spec's spelling with 57 posts under your belt. Not to mention you had a little error in your post in the NYSP Middletown thread...

It's you're as in you are, not your. Just sayin'... :)

I live in the Hudson Valley for many years and one on my neighbors was a Toll Collector on the Thruway and I have a map of the Thruway. Go to the NYS Thruway web site.
Now it seems were using this forum for fighting.

That's a sad phenomenon with the NY forum, I have trouble understanding why. MD is much more... cooperative.

That said...

The purpose is to ask questions and share info.

Exactly. And when someone posted information that was correct you told them they were incorrect and then corrected another members spelling. Obviously you don't see my point.

I was a Moderator on this forum for many years FYI.

Nobody here seems to know how to use apostrophes. Fortunately, radio frequencies do not need them. :)

Troop T cars operate under UHF which you can find in the database under the Thruway Authority but they also use Statewide (VHF) and Repeater (800 conventional) State Police channels which can be found under New York State Police in the database. T cars are also unique because their RIDs are based on the Thruway system, like 4T46 is on the radio as 7719 and yes, Zone 5 is gone and I believe F covers the airport.

Also on a side note, are T car mobile tri-band (3 mobiles with one head) or just dual-band? I know the cars have all 3 antennas for all 3 systems but I only see one control head.

The 800 conventional are just for the vehicular repeaters. Those are seperate units, they don't have "control heads" in the typical radio sense.
