I am intrested in the vessels traveling near the vz bridge nyc area what freq do they use.

i know all vessels monitor 156.800

but they use a special freq for clearence to enter the area of the habor

anyone have any ideas

All vessels do not monitor 156.800 (Ch-16). Commercial vessels are required only to monitor CH-13 inside vessel traffic safety zones, and will use any of the several commercial-use working channels for chat.

you could program all the marine frequencies they are all in use during the day in your area .
