NYC Subway

When listening to the NYC Subway frequencies:
Input Output
161.19000 158.88000 IRT SUBWAY 161.50500 158.77500 BMT SUBWAY
161.56500 158.80500 IND SUBWAY

In order to listen to both sides of the conversation should I program the Input only or both the Input and Output.

I'm not from NY but it depends if it's on a reapeater.. if so program the output. If it's direct simplex, program both frequencies.
