I know this was was brought up in another thread a while ago. But has any one else monitored the system?

I believe the freqs and the LCN are as follows

1.461.3875
3.461.5125
5.464.2125

Has any one grabbed any Talk Group ID's? Is this a wide area type system? Just looking for some info as I am building a new file to throw into my scanner.

The system is very weak in the Poughkeepsie area. I've seen several antennas on the Highland administration buildings - maybe located there for the Mid-Hudson Bridge.
Recently heard transmissions for the Mid-Hudson Bridge have all been on the 464.2125 MHz. frequency, which shows on the radio as HR 05. Primary talk group seems to be 0-05-101.
Tried monitoring late this afternoon and heard transmissions which were clearly related to the Beacon-Newburgh Bridge on 461.3875 MHz., talk group 1-01-151. Signal strength about the same as Mid-Hudson - maybe they're linked somehow. Also heard Mid-Hudson Bridge traffic on 464.2125 TG 0-05-101 today.

Thanks Paul.

That's another thing I was curious about if the system were linked. Too bad I can't get unitrunker to work correctly

All 5 bridge use the same freq's but each bridge has it's own talk group . Per some of staff I know that work there . The system is set up to cover the bridge property area and not much more . Low power and down tilt antenna helps with that coverage area. Hope this helps , Have a good day

In like 1984-1985 there was a real NYSBAPD with two officers, one officer was recruited from DCSO & the other was recruited from Marlboro PD, they escorted the Mid Hudson Bridge crews in morning & afternoon rush hour lane changing, during mid day they would run radar in a blue & white Chevrolet Impala on the Mid Hudson & Newburg Beacon bridges, they had a radio system in their car which could communicate with troop F & K on the respective troop channels, they also had the troop car to car frequency to communicate with the Highland & Poughkeepsie cars & the statewide MRD frequency to talk to Poughkeepsie City PD & Town of Lloyd PD, they could also communicate with Alamo Ambulance for Mid Hudson Bridge suicide alert calls, their NYSP vheicle ID number was 7F65, Their NYSBAPD vehicle number was car 7.

Thread is starting to get off track...

Anyway, I created this system in the database some time ago, and recently added the two talkgroups mentioned in this thread (see note below about submitting this type of info).

New York State Bridge Authority Trunking System

Given that all of the bridges use the same frequencies and LCN's, it's probably not necessary to have them broken out into each site. However, I feel having them listed that way makes it easier for people to get a sense of how the system is setup. Also, since these are low-powered systems, keeping each bridge as a separate site allows me to give each of them a very tight geotag.

In any case, if anyone find any of the other talkgroups, please submit them to the database. Posting them in this thread for discussion is fine, but they really ought to be submitted to ensure the information is added in a timely and accurate fashion.
