NYSP along I-90

Does NYSP still use the conventional frequencies listed in RR? I'm heading to Lake George from Lewiston on Friday. I have all the conventional frequencies programmed and have also added the trunked systems listed on the NYSP page. In everyone's experience for troops A, E, D and G what is most commonly used? Thank you!

The I-90 segment of your trip will will be along the NYS Thruway and the state police will be on the NYS Thruway frequency (Troop T), either 453.425 or 453.525, depending on the zone you're in. Once you hit Albany and head north on I-87, you'll be in Troop G and there's multiple frequencies used, anything from Troop frequencies to local county frequencies.

If you are lawfully able to scan from your car, I also recommend the statewide car-to-car channel (154.665/110.9).
