Does anyone know why these two agencies (and many others I'm sure) haven't "switched" to the narrowband assignments yet?

Is it because the info isn't there or they just haven't?

I would think a state agency would be the first to do so/abide by fed requirements. ;)

Why do you assume they haven't? State Police was done with narrow banding in December. I think DEC went a while ago, but don't know for sure.
There are no "narrowband assignments" - the frequencies don't change, just the occupied bandwidth.

I did not do a 100% search, but all the licenses I looked at for both agencies have the narrowband emissions on them.

All the DEC helicopter traffic over my house last year was the techs going up to Cathead Mountain to NB the transmitters for this area.

If you mean that the RR listings have not been updated by saying "the info isn't there", that has no bearing on what the agencies have actually done. There's lots of entries in the listings that haven't been changed over to NFM. That does not mean that the agencies have not switched.

All NYSP and DEC listings in the database are FMN and have been for a while now.

That is what I meant.

I thought that was evident, my mistake.
