While I can almost believe that not every SP troop has been programmed FMN as of yet, I find it hard to believe that the Statewide SP freqs such as car-to-car, State Frequency, etc, are mixed FM & FMN statewide.

Is this just info coming late to RR for posting or is how it is? Seems you would want your units to be able to talk to each other.

A unit that is "narrow-band" can communicate with a unit that is "wide-band" and vice versa. The only noticeable difference to the user is going to be either an increase in receive volume or a decrease in receive volume depending on which side of the conversation you are on. Troop G Zone 2 units were adjusted about two months ago and other than the mentioned volume issue there was not any problems with the troop units communicating with the county or village units or vice versa.

Well it depends on the radio. A few older radios I have if a narrowband radio is transmitting sometimes the radio wont open up being that there is not enough audio on the CTCSS for the radio decode, This happens with my orion.
