Hello All,

Been watching this program for at least 5 years now and find the historical, as well as the most recent videos to be quite interesting. Have loved trains since I was a kid; invested most of my weekends with my best buddy, watching GG-1's at Penn Station in Newark. Great fun as a kid!

Was just wondering if any other members have seen the program on RFD-TV. I get it on DISH, Monday afternoons at 3:00 P.M. Pacific time. I had never seen any other railroad programming on cable or streaming, other than this one. For a while, they did show a program, "Model Railroading" immediately after first show.

Just curious...

Yes, I get it on DirecTV. Not sure who at RFD-TV figured out that there was a market for railroad videos, but I'm glad they did.

In the days of film and videotape and before YouTube, there were a number of railroad cinematographers and videographers who produced lots of film and video on railroad topics. They usually sold edited movies, videotapes, or DVDs through the pages of the railfan magazines and at railroadiana shows. We can hope that the archives of Pentrex, Mark 1, 7 Idea, Greg Scholl, and others are being maintained.

Now that we have YouTube, modern-day videographers just post stuff there. But, seeing the old stuff is interesting, too.

I’ve seen every episode. Wish they’d get some new material as they’ve been showing the same ones for years. Also wish they’d show Hee Haw again.
