Good to know, thanks.

On another note, I'd also keep an eye on Tinley Park PD's 151.2275 since it shows P25 voice on their license (along with 155.1900).
Looks like Oak Forest modified the license around May 2, 2023 and referred to it as a "broadcast change":

I did see the Tinley Park license updates, and also see a modification to Net-10's frequency showing a P25 Conventional emission. It appears these dispatch centers are moving towards stand alone P25 systems.

Is car to car available?
I'm not aware of any car-to-car channels used by Oak Forest PD. However, they might use statewide freqs (like IREACH) or local Public Works or EM freqs for that purpose. Other than that, you should be able to hear 99% of their comms on their dispatch freq (which is very much active and thankfully in the clear).

Hello, I live in Oak Forest I haven't been able to get them on my Uniden 436HP scanner lately. thanks
The easiest way is to Hold on the Channel...press E/Yes..Edit Current Channel...Press E/Yes again...Set Audio Type..Digital Only...back out of Menu and should be good.

Confirmed NAC 293, Dispatch RID 1, units appear to be using RID's coinciding with car numbers...2000 series. Must be very recent, had them on over the weekend.

The easiest way to do this is to update the database in sentinel. then go into data base and locate Oak Forest PD right click and append to a favorite list of your choice or put it where you currently have the pd in now replacing the analog channel. delete the analog channel then write to scanner. sounds like you may still have the PD in as analog. they Switched to digital in mid September and that will explain why your not hearing them. try this and post back with results or if more help is needed.

I think you're asking if you can hear them in Oak Forest and that's a yes. I think you mean a 436hp. and that's a yes. If you have it previously programmed as analog and follow my simple instructions, you'd be all set.

The part about using sc21, I'm not sure what you're asking. It's not a talkgroup on Starcom 21, it's a stand-alone system.

Tinley Park dispatch side only coming through on TG 162 SITE 502
I've been keeping a watch on their VHF analog frequency knowing it's also licensed for P25 Conventional. I've been hearing the "talk permit tone" when they were dispatching recently, and this explains it...good catch.

Currently, operations are on the VHF frequency in analog, but this will probably be changing in the near future. They might move everyone to the County system while everything is being reprogrammed similar to Cicero did for Forest View and Stickney, or just switch over to P25 Conventional suddenly.

Clear, and forgot to mention TGID 1 if programmed as OFT (One Frequency Trunk).
I don't monitor Oak Forest PD regularly and not sure when this changed, for those that program as OFT (One Frequency Trunk), the dispatch TGID is 2051 and the mobiles are still TGID 1. NAC is till 293.
