What happen to the audio feed, of oakland pd?

As for the link that Chris just added up, I am slowly fixing scanners, and getting them up and running for taking over his Feeds. So far I have fixed one, and I have ACSO, ALCO, and some other local Fire Districts. I will be getting another scanner working soon, and that will include all of OAKLAND. :) Expect a wait time of about a month before that becomes on the air.

I like it. The display shows us what we need to know. No SF, SJ, or LA etc. I did see San Diego RCS on their drop down list. Nowhere near as active as Oakland...

And for those of us in the San Diego area, not having the crime / call for service levels of Oakland is a good thing.

People need to watch what they say about the SDRCS around here. Coming from a future UCSD resident (in two months), I am continually impressed by the traffic volume the RCS can handle every time I've listened to it. The IMBE DVSI vocoder version sounds a little older and harsher than what I'm used to up here but I doubt reprogramming THOUSANDS of radios for something that minor is a very high priority. :) (Although it could just be all the intermod in the city messing up the decode on the scanner side.)

With nine EDACS voice channels, Oakland is really not a terribly large city and OPD has no where near the call volume of the San Diego City system. I am not as familiar with San Diego county Sheriff, but given the enormous size of the county it would be hard to believe Oakland handles more calls. But if they do, that is indeed very fortunate for San Diego county residents.

Just sayin'. :)
