Is there anything that can currently be monitored on OARS? The database information says Greene County dispatch is clear while units are encrypted - is this still correct? I've downloaded and programmed but don't seem to hear anything.

I've had the same problem. Even Encrypted should have some noise, but nada!

I had recently posted asking about Baldwin co. Comms, ....the FCC licensing recetly shows this....

(OARS) RADIO NETWORK
All my research is telling me that the database has not been updated recently....Scannermaster checked it and said we could download current info through Sentinel on the Monday following a database update by radio reference....I don't know when that will be..hopefully soon!!!

OARS & Baldwin SO
I am attempting to program Baldwin County; however, I am not seeing it listed under OARS. I am confused. The Baldwin County page shows this statement, "The Baldwin TRBO is undergoing configuration changes." When I looked at the conventional frequencies for Baldwin, it showed Baldwin SO to be deprecated.
From what I'm seeing in OARS, there is heavy use of encryption.
I would appreciate some feedback.

I reviewed the various trunking systems listed at the bottom of the Baldwin page. I am only seeing one that has the majority of the system frequencies in the 800 mhz range, the State of Georgia Public Safety TSYS. But, there are no talk groups associated with Baldwin County. Baldwin County is one of the four counties listed for this system.
Then, I saw where Baldwin is listed in OARS, but they are mostly 700 mhz for the Baldwin site. Yes, I do see Milledgeville FD listed, but no talk groups for PD or Baldwin SO.
Since OARS seems to be growing, I wonder if the DB is current? If you know the Talk groups and the TSYS for Baldwin, I would appreciate the feedback.

Everything in Baldwin County Is encrypted except for the Baldwin County Fire Rescue/Milledgeville Fire Dept. dispatch talkgroup which was intentionally left open since it is streamed and it makes it easier. and the OARS Interop Channels (rarely used).
EDIT: And just to add you will not hear anything on an encrypted talkgroup, the display will probably change and show that the talkgroup is active but nothing not even just noise will be audible.

Well, some scanners you will hear the "digital" type enc. noise, some you won't.
Why did they encrypt everything there?
What are the TG's for the OARS interops? Sheriff and PD?
