Obama quick visit to LA - 24Oct

President Barack Obama is scheduled to return to Los Angeles on Wednesday to appear on The Tonight Show.

Obama will land at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday afternoon after campaign stops in Iowa and Colorado. After the taping, he will fly out of to Nevada for another event.

Last two times he taped the Tonight Show, he flew via chopper to Burbank.

I heard a Nighthawk 3 flying over Burbank yesterday...at least that was the callsign they gave Burbank Tower. Hell of a racket. Didn't see it though.

He might as well take up residency here in LA, he's here that often. I'm sure people will be complaining about the traffic his motorcade will create.

I'm glad I won't be stuck in it.

WA6KFI - socalscanner.com had all of the freq's I needed along with ICIS, Burbank PD, I got to hear a lot of radio comms, especially when he landed at Burbank Airport in Marine 1. The PD gave updates on his motorcade route as if they were in a pursuit. Very interesting.
