Obama to visit NJ Sept 5

Saw a bunch of sercret service vehicles yesterday at Middletown PD HQ for a meeting with our PD. Crown Vics, Durangos and another type of SUV. All tinted out windows. Also noticed the antennas. Some had VHF 1/4 whips and some also had what looked like 800 mhz antennas on the roofs.

The party is right down the street from me but I don't expect to hear anything since it will prob be encrypted.

I live right off of Navesink River Road, no more than a mile from the location. Pretty wild, hopefully I can get around town, at least to and home from work smoothly.

242, I hear ya. I live there too and I'm worried about getting my pizza home while its still hot. During previous fund raising parties, VP Gore went through here as did Kerry, and the roads were closed for like an hour each time they moved. Tomorrow, he is suppose to make two stops off of "our road".

James, their suppose to have boats in the water since its on the river. So I would put in some VHF marine channels, NJSP Marine. And try Middletown PD 2 & SPEN 3 for Middletown ops.

Activity on Middletown PD2 (155.55). Haven't heard anything too interesting just "Do you need additional assistance, any protestors?" Have SPEN 3 and the rest of the SPENs, UTAC/ITAC/VTAC, in there but nothing. Haven't heard anything on State Police Troop C but haven't been listening over there much. Not sure what to listen to. Should be an exciting next few days with the Tropical Storm, also.
