Did Obion County ever implement their planned 800Mhz trunk system using 856.7125, 857.7125, 858.7125, and 859.7125?

Good question? Last I heard that it was held up due to budget problem last year. After that I have not heard anything new.

Yes the system is up and running but 90% of the traffic is still UHF repeater. This is due to lack of portables still waiting on the grants to come in. Also City of Union City Police and Fire plus others going trunking.
Just sitting here in North West Tn listening to my 785D, Pro 96, Pro 2096, and my old Pro 2067.

What type of system did they go with? Motorola, EDACS, or LTR?

8 Channel Motorola Smartzone Private owned system to save money for now but still hold current lic# for their own 5 channel system. Our little small area does not understand what it cost to have their own county wide system. You know 5 channel rack, controller, combiner, dual antennas, dual feed line, tower, system manager, just to name a few.
