Ocala, 2-17-2009 10:00 am, zero visibility on Magnolia, road to be shut down, due to large brush fire at Magnolia and 312 at this time PD being called in to close the road due to visibility issue. Tanker 21, Engine 16, Grass 16, Engine 18 , Grass 18 are very busy. Grass 21, Engine 30 are being called in along with US Forest service. There are approx 6-7 acres on fire, and it threatens a structure and barn. Grass 18 reports horses in the paddock are safe at this time. Fire is heading towards the tree line. Battalion 2 is assuming command at 10:10 am. At 10:13 am, two PD cars are dispatched to the scene for temporary road closures. at 10:20 am Forest service is on scene and working the south-end of the fire. The Barn is being protected by Grass 18, and at 10:23 an additional brush truck is being requested by the South Division commander. Forestry 70 reports he is enroute, approaching fire scene, with a tractor. 10:28 am two forestry units are on scene, and Batt. 2 is requesting an additional grass truck to the scene. At 10:32 am dispatch informs Batt. 2 that Grass 24 is responding.

Most communications are being heard on trunked 800 mhz MCFR frequency on talkgroup ID 1105
