hello SmokingJoe, to be honest with you, I am not really sure how to send you a copy of what I have from my scanner. I am sure there is a way to do it, however, I have not really done this before. I can try to look into this for you, but keep in mind if I am able to forward my Pro-106 complete file to you, you will probably have to alter it to suit your area's listening needs. First off, where do you live, or what area are ya to be monitoring from... maybe I can forward you the files seperately, for example: MCSO, MCFR, OPD, and OFR. those 4 agencies (police, sheriff, and fire) are what I mostly monitor from the Ocala area which is where I'm from. I live with-in Ocala city limits. I have been a major contributing member for the info currently in the Ocala and Marion County Database here on RR, so if you are a RR Premium subscriber here, and you already have the 106 scanner and the PSRedit500 programming software and USB cable from Radioshack, you might as well just download all of it from this site's database.

I can go one step further... if you prefer a hands-on, one on one on how all of this works, I would be more than happy to sit with you here at my home in Ocala this saturday for a while, where I can teach you the PSRedit500 AND the WIN-500 software... we can tweak your Pro-106 and get it up to date w/ the latest firmware, and I can also show you the ID Tracker III and few other trunk tracking downloadable freewares available on the net. They are all very usefull in thier own right. I can clone your scanner to be a duplicate of mine in all of about 10 seconds.

I have had many people over the house in the past 12 months or so, members I met here on RadioReference, who lived around the Ocala area, and helped them get up and running w/ programming software such as the PSRedit500. I also have the most current Talkgroup ID's and radio codes and signals for the County from the MC trunked system supervisor, which I can make you copies of. Let me know if your interested, and PM me your telephone number for further assistance. I also run a yahoo group for scanner enthusiasts who reside in the Ocala/Marion County area, who enjoy monitoring fire, police, rescue, and sheriff communications. I have created two RadioReference social group pages also... one called the new Pro106 owners group and the other page is a group of us who reside in the Ocala/Marion area and we share local scanning information.

In the meantime, I will look into sending you my MC Ocala scanner files from my Pro-106... again, PM me with your email address, and I will try to forward the file. Take care.

Kevin

Hello Kevin,

Thank you for posting this very helpful information. A couple questions for you:

1. The Ocala system primary control channel appears to be 859.2125. Is that correct?

2. Does the control channel rotate among other channels, or does it stay on that frequency more than 99% of the time?

3. If there other control channels, can you advise what they are?

4. The FL Mutual Aid channel you show 854 MHz, does that replace the 853 MHz freq used for that purpose for the last 16 years or so?

5. Please let us know when new control channels and digital system become active, even in the test mode.

Thank you

Greetings Tom,

While set to anylize mode, I receive the following information for the Ocala trunked radio system...

MOT 3600 baud CC 859.2125 comes up often as a control channel
MOT 3600 baud CC 859.9375 also comes up often as a control channel
another CC listed in anylize mode for Ocala is 860.9375 and
the control channels stay the same for days at a time from what I have seen. No known reason why they fluctuate. I cannot confirm system Rotation or frequency of rotation, could depend on tower site being used.
16 frequencies are shown as being in the current system according to my Pro-106 while in anylize mode, and they are listed as SID 5104 CT 90.00

They are:
856.2125 ch 1
857.2125 ch 2
858.2125 ch 3
859.2125 ch 4 cc
860.2125 ch 5
856.7125 ch 6
857.7125 ch 7
858.7125 ch 8
859.7125 ch 9
860.7125 ch 10
857.9375 ch 11
858.9385 ch 12
859.9375 ch 13 cc
860.9375 ch 14 cc
854.9750 ch 15
852.2875 ch 16

As far as the FL MUT AID Channels for the Ocala area, the ones I posted earlier are listed as being the correct format that they will utilize sometime in 2011 or 2012 (according to my source - the Ocala trunked Radio system Manager) She sent me this information on 2/11/2010. I am still awaiting further info regarding a current TGID listing for Ocala. As you know, the Ocala trunked system is host to many utilities companies, as well as operational bureau's associated with the City of Ocala.

In January of 2009, the Ocala Star Banner had reported that the Ocala trunked radio system was gearing up for a digital transgression, and that they would soon switch over to new digital radios and frequencies... a year later, I have not witnessed the change. I will help to gather as much info on this subject and report it here first for our local area scanner enthusiasts.

Kevin,

I also live in Ocala, and I have been wanting to put a receaver on line for POD, MCSO, and the CSX, and FL northern RR. Can you please contact me about doing this. My email is Locomotive.lee@gmail.com

Thanks,

Loco Lee

Hello Lee and welcome. It would be great if you could provide the MCSO feed on this site for all of us to enjoy, even those that are too far away to monitor the MCSO would enjoy it.

While I myself have never put up a feed, please find this information useful... in order to put up a feed on Radioreference, you must do the following:

hover your mouse over LIVE AUDIO on the RR main home page ,
then you will see a drop-down list,
in the drop-down list, click on BECOME A FEED PROVIDER,
that takes you to the feed provider information page and it asks you to fill out a FEED PROVIDER APPLICATION.

I am not sure what equipment you need to supply a streaming feed to this website, but I am sure you can get that all figured out after you read up on the info on the feed provider page. You would probably require a download of a data stream provider packet and a scanner, but again, I have never looked into it, so I have very little to offer as assistance at this time, but the RR info on the LIVE AUDIO page should be very helpful, as well as interesting.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for all the great info here. I had to delete Ch. 9 (859.7125) due to it being a CC for system 4B2B which I think is Kissimmee and replace it with 856.1875. I also added 859.5375 CC as you posted.

And, am I correct that the mutual aid channels will be trunked on this system ?

Mut Aid Channels are conventional

NO, the Mutual Aid channels should be programmed into your scanner as Conventional Frequencies... not Trunked Frequencies. They are separate 800 Mhz freq's that are not a part of the Trunked system. And thanks for the kind words. Have a great evening, and happy monitoring ! !
